A TV Wall That Hides the Mess and Shows the Craft
A television on a blank wall with a tangle of cables underneath is the default result in many homes. A custom TV unit solves the technical problems first: where the power, HDMI and speaker wires run, how the console vents its heat and how the TV is mounted at a comfortable height.
Then it deals with how the wall looks. The unit in our hero photo pairs a floating credenza, a wall of fine wood slats and shelves with a glowing LED strip. Doors and drawers hide game consoles, routers and remotes. The slats frame the television and carry the grain across the wall.
In Miami, living rooms often combine open layouts, tall ceilings and bright windows. We account for glare and viewing height, and we choose finishes and lighting that look good in both daylight and evening.

Signs You Need a Custom TV Unit
- Cables hang below the television or run along the wall in a visible bundle.
- Your console is too narrow, too short or the wrong depth for your equipment and décor.
- The TV is mounted too high or too low and the wall around it looks empty.
- You want storage for media, games and board games without a bulky entertainment center.
- You want a feature wall in the living room that combines the TV, shelves and lighting.
How We Build a TV Unit
- Plan the wall and equipment
We measure the wall, confirm the TV size and mounting height and list the equipment that must be inside or beside the unit.
- Design cable and power paths
We plan where the cables enter, where power sits and how the unit vents so devices do not overheat.
- Choose layout and finish
We select console style, shelving, doors or drawers, slat or panel detail, finish and lighting.
- Build and install
We build in our shop, mount the unit and align every panel. The TV is mounted to the planned height and cable paths.

What Drives the Cost of a Custom TV Unit
TV units range from a simple floating console to a full wall of storage and lighting. These are the key variables.
A full wall treatment needs more material and installation time than a console alone.
Drawers, doors and cable pass-throughs are priced by count and hardware.
Slatted or paneled backdrops use more material and careful alignment than a flat wall.
LED strips, channels and drivers add cost but give a strong visual effect.
Hidden soundbars, ventilation and recessed power require planning with an electrician.
Wood-tone laminates, veneers or painted surfaces vary in material and labor.
Why Choose Us for TV Units
The best TV unit is invisible in the details: no cables, no gaps, panels that line up. We build with machinery and careful fitting to make that kind of precision repeatable.
Designers and contractors often bring us a drawing for a media wall. We can build from their plan, confirm dimensions on site and install with other trades such as the electrician.
Where We Build This
We build TV units for living rooms in Homestead, Florida City, Cutler Bay, Kendall and Miami.
Questions About Custom TV Units
Can you hide the cables completely?
We plan channels and pass-throughs so cables can run inside the wall or unit. A licensed electrician may be needed to add recessed power or run wires inside walls, and we coordinate with them.
What height should the TV be?
The center of the screen should generally sit near eye level when seated. We confirm the height with you and the seating layout before the unit is built.
Can the unit include a fireplace or soundbar?
We can build space for a soundbar and plan clearances for a linear fireplace if your contractor supplies the specifications. Heat clearances are important.
Do you build floating units?
Yes. Floating credenzas look light and make cleaning easier. We confirm the wall structure and use proper mounting.
Can I add shelves and display lighting?
Yes. Shelves and display cabinets can include LED strips and glass doors, as in some of the projects shown on this page.
How is a TV unit different from a wall panel?
A TV unit is the console, storage and equipment area. A wall panel is the decorative surface behind or around it. We often build both together, and each has its own page.
